George is amesome! He helped me with MATH 228 (Differential Equations) at uwaterloo. I have had a very difficult time with math in university but George is able to explain and go through examples that will actually help you with quizzes and assignments. I was quite behind on integration but George had no problem working through that with me to get me back on track. George is very patient and understanding no need to feel embarrassed for needing help. I definitely recommend him if you are struggling with differential equations or any related math course. Thanks again George for all your help 🙂
George is an incredible tutor. He was able to explain complex concepts from phys 342 (Electricity and Magnetism 2 at the University of waterloo) so simply, and actually help me understand its relevenace/connection to past material (Gauss's Law, Amperes Law, Electric and Magnetic field equations, just to name a few). I would highly recommend George as a tutor.

George is honestly the best tutor I have ever had. He helped me with PHYS 249/256, and he was able to explain difficult concepts using plain English (unlike most textbooks). He has a great hourly rate, and I’d strongly recommend him for any math/physics courses.
George was the first tutor i’ve ever had and he was absolutely AMAZING!! He was able to explain things in a very simple and easy to understand manner:) Plus he is extremely personable and made me feel welcomed while never making me feel dumb when I asked questions! His hours were great and he was willing to stay late on campus to accommodate a typical university students schedule. Around exams he put in extra effort for review sessions even on the night before an exam! Overall I would 100% recommend going to George if you need help in math and physics related classes:)))
Definitely recommend. I took tutoring lessons with George for two courses and now that the courses are over I am so happy with the time and energy I spent with George. He creates an amazing environment to come and learn and with his enthusiasm you feel as though you can pass anything. George is an amazing tutor, I would 11/10 recommend! It was my first time seeking out a tutor; he’s great at explaining concepts, and will never make you feel judged for asking any questions you have. It’s evident George puts in so much effort with his students he’ll provide practice problems but will also help with any you come in with as well! Overall it’s evident he’s very passionate about what he teaches, which makes the sessions more helpful and enjoyable!

THE BEST TUTOR. Like actually, George is extremely professional while also being very friendly. Whenever I go to a GeorgeTutor session I know that George is trying his best to help all of his student succeed. He also knows a lot of common UW courses like the back of his hand because he has tons of previous experience. Like when I got help for MATH 119 he basically knew the material better than my own prof and provided me practice questions based off of what’s actually important in the course. He also gives good life advice. He’s really good with groups, I’ve attended with my friends and it’d didn’t feel like just because we were a group I was missing out on anything because George makes sure everyone’s engaged while they’re learning. Honestly, do yourself a favour if you’re struggling with your courses or you just want to boost your GPA, George is your man.

I’ve had tutors before but none have clicked the way George does. He explains insanely hard calculus 3 concepts in simple ways.
Along with doing class concepts, George taught me a new way to “think”, looking for logical unique ways to attack a question and mastering test writing abilities.

George is an incredible tutor who tailors his tutoring methods to the needs of his students, he was my tutor for my entire undergrad. He is very knowledgeable and experienced tutor who is a great teacher. He has loads of practice questions and will also create new ones based on the student's level. I highly recommend him and I doubt you'd be able to find any tutor who could come close to his exceptional teaching.

George explained the complex concepts of the course in a very simple and effective manner and it’s obvious that he’s very passionate about teaching. I reached out to George in September of 2021 for physics help, as I was very overwhelmed with first year physics in university. However, George was a absolutely amazing tutor, very detailed and great at explaining, I would say even better than my professors! For second term I also asked if he could tutor me in calculus2 and he was great, I did very well in that course and honestly owe a lot of credit to him. Not only was I understanding the content much better, he also made me actually enjoy learning. I would recommend George to anyone for math or physics help:)
I would recommend George to anyone who needs help with math/science courses. When I had him for ece106, he was always very enthusiastic about the material and tries to explain the reason behind concepts and theories. He also goes through many relevant practice problems and past exam questions which definitely helped me during my exam. His rates for tutoring are also very fair and he is transparent about how the fees for each session are calculated. Thanks for everything George!

George is an amazing and very detail oriented teacher who really helped me throughout my physics course while in engineering. He provided teaching at an effective rate and carefully explained the understanding and reasoning behind problems, helping a person really be able to not just understand the techniques but utilize the techniques in the future. I was worried about my physics course as it wasn’t my strong field, but with George’s well paced tutor classes i was able to be successful in the course. He overall is a tutor who provided respectable prices and quality teaching which i definitely recommend to anyone!!!
He is the best tutor I ever had. He is very friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. I mainly did PHYS 115 sessions with him, but I also went to his MATH 115 review sessions before my exam. With his help, I managed to pass both courses with a grade I was proud of.

He is also able to engage his students by asking questions, or teaching in different styles that best accommodates to the students so they are actively learning the content. I found george through the University of Waterloo. He is a great tutor and helped me with Physics 111 last semester. I was able to achieve a grade higher than I had wanted and am grateful for how accommodating he was throughout the term.
George is the best! I had countless one-on-one sessions with him for Mechanics (PHYS115) and he never let me down. George uses his extensive knowledge in Physics and Math to review concepts taught in class and take them 10 steps further. He is great at clarifying and demonstrating concepts on a more in-depth level than is shown in lectures. His teaching style is also very effective because he asks the student conceptual questions along the way to ensure that they understand the material before moving on to the next problem. George is also a very approachable tutor and he makes learning fun with his friendly personality. It is clear to see that he is very passionate about teaching and invested in his students.
Amazing tutor! I’m in Software Engineering and was really struggling with the concepts, application, and overall content of my math and physics courses.
George is very good at catering to your learning style (I’m a very visual learner, and he’s been able to help me understand abstract concepts and ideas when diagrams aren’t provided by my materials) and he’s incredibly enthusiastic and invested in his work. He also works through things step-by-step, and he is perfectly happy to explain things as in-depth as possible. I often have issues understanding things unless they’re put a specific way, and whenever something would click, I would let him know, and he’d make sure to explain things in that manner.
You get access to some very good, challenging, layered problems that he solves with you. His sleep schedule also means that university students like myself can contact him in those (really) late cramming sessions, and odds are, he’s awake to answer.
Incredibly helpful, humorous, kind, knowledgeable, and invested. You won’t regret asking him for help!

How I define a good tutor is someone who understands the material well, is good at explaining the material in a way that makes sense to me, and is supportive, friendly, and engaging. George does all of this very well. He mainly tutored me in PHYS 115, but I also had a few sessions in MATH 115 and a review session in MATH 116. During the sessions, George goes through example problems and solves them with the group, asking us questions to help us engage in active learning. He covers core concepts and shows how they apply in practical situations. He knows the high-hit questions that the profs use regularly. The sessions are fun and I always left feeling more confident with the material. George helped me a lot this past semester and I would highly recommend him to anybody looking for a tutor!
George was very helpful in helping me understand linear algebra! He has a good problem repository for questions relevant to the concepts we discussed in class, as well as interesting ones that I may not have seen otherwise, and was able to clearly explain any additional questions I had!

The learning sessions I had with George allowed me to do well in my physics class. Each session, we would focus on what I was struggling with. George would find detailed problems and walk through them step-by-step to ensure I understood. Each concept was explained very well and each learning session prepared me for quizzes and tests.
